10/4 Morning Update

Hi Everybody,

I paid Court a visit this morning as she was patiently receiving a new set of electrodes for another EEG test. In addition today's test, Court's folks are meeting with the nursing staff of Baird 4, where she may be moved as early as this afternoon. As soon as I have a room number and new directions I'll post them.

Courtney's making eye contact a little longer now and she is constantly stretching her right arm and leg. Moving out of ICU means Court is one step closer to entering rehab, our goal is still to see her to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston.

I want to thank all of the visitors who have come to this site to show support (more than a 1,000 of you since I put up the hit counter three days ago). We've got groups all around the U.S. and even a few abroad checking in on her condition. People from all walks of life that take a break (sometimes multiple breaks) in their day to think about Courtney. That means the world.

We Love you Courtney and we can't wait to have you back safe and sound.

-Sean

Still thinking about you guys every day. We are taking good care of Marti back here in Arizona. Her students were so happy to have her back, but I know her heart is still in Vermont.

Court was moved from McClure ICU today to Baird 4, room # 486. visiting hours are different: from 10:30a.m. to 8:30p.m. so make note of that. they may be a little flexible, I don't know. It can't hurt to try. We are all for coming to visit....we hope to get her outside tomorrow. Each day she continues to improve and hope it gets better each day. Please keep Courtney in your constant vigil and prayers. Thank you all and God bless you!!

That's good news! I'm glad she's moved to another floor. It's another good step towards her recovery! I hope she gets outside on Fri. to enjoy the beautiful New England Fall weather. I sent a great picture of Courtney with rays of sunlight surrounding her when we were in Sedona last year. I hope it makes it onto the blog. I have it as my desktop picture on my work computer as well as my home computer. I like to think that the rays of sun are healing rays of light. As I look at the picture, I send her lots of love and positive energy through that light.

Sean, let me know if I you received the picture or if I need to resend it.

I miss all of you and wish that I could be there right now.

You are all in our thoughts every day. Give Courtney a hug from us. Hope you had a good bday Marty. (You don't look 75!) Julie - keep up your strength and I will talk to you this weekend - maybe I will even get a pix of me feeding Duke an apple for you!

I LOVE COURTNEY!!!

and her family too :) I had such a good visit the other night, Courtney was all smiles and laughs. It is so clear now that she knows what I'm talking about when I joke around with her about old times...it made my week to spend that time with her! She was even mouthing words! Her smile is my encouragement.

Also, I miss you Marti! Sorry I didn't get to say bye. Come back soon :)
