Just in case anyone has had their eyelids stapled shut or cement poured in their ears, Courtney's benefit concert is this Wednesday night at Club Metronome. It's going to be a good time, sobriety and clothing are optional (as long as you drive or walk naked safely). We are in the 11th hour of prepping and looking forward to some face-melting music tomorrow.
So heartwarming to see Courtney and the progress she's made!! I was one of her nurses at FAHC, seeing her makes the job well worth it. She's blessed to have all of you to care so deeply for her.
I am so impressed with the nurses at FAHC who still keep in touch with how Courtney's doing. Thanks again for the exceptional care you gave to Courtney and her family.
Just a note for those who are interested in the Maine SFC Events coming up in Jan/Feb - send me an email at mel.poulin@gmail.com and we'll be sure to include you in the planning/updates!
Yes, to back up what Melissa said: for those of you up in Maine, we are in the process of organizing our first fundraiser for Courtney. We're planning a benefit dinner/auction (w/music) to take place in mid to late January, probably either in Waldoboro or Rockland (we're still working out the details). It is going to be a LIVE auction (we already have an auctioneer lined up!) and at this point we are most interested in getting lots of items donated for the auction. Currently we're working on a master list of businesses, etc. to approach for donations. If you're in the Maine area and either have items to donate, or ideas/suggestions, and/or would like to get in on the planning, send Melissa an email! We welcome all input and are excited to get the SPC going in the north country! Thanks!
Jaysus... I suppose it's too much to expect you benefunkin' youngsters to post this early in the morning. But we old fogeys, who were there in spirit, would really love just a brief teaser, before the big detail-rich, picture-laden account is posted.
The show was a huge success...friends came out of the wood-work to celebrate Courtney and help out however they could! It was a ton of fun. Thanks soooo much to everyone that came, helped out, donated money and left words of support for Courtney! I'll leave it at that. Theres a lot to add later.

Well, did your faces melt off? I want pictures!
Plus, I love the idea of the Maine faction of SFC doing their fundraising event. Best of luck!! You guys are wicked awesome, as they say.
